Multi Cyclones
Multi-cyclones are industrial de-dusting systems designed with multiple small-diameter cyclone elements arranged in parallel inside a robust metal enclosure. This configuration allows efficient removal of fine dust particles from high-volume air streams.
The operating principle of multi-cyclones is similar to that of single cyclone separators and is based on centrifugal force. Particle-laden air enters each cyclone through a tangential inlet, creating a high-speed вращ (rotational) airflow.
The centrifugal action forces heavier particles against the inner walls of the cyclone, causing a downward spiral motion that separates dust from the air stream. The collected particles are discharged at the bottom, while the cleaned air exits through the central chimney due to differences in internal pressure.
Key Advantages & Applications
- Efficient removal of fine and coarse dust
- Parallel cyclone design for high airflow capacity
- Low maintenance and robust construction
- Used in power plants, cement, and process industries
- Ideal as a pre-cleaner for bag filters and ESP systems
